STACK offers two options for setting the scale on your drawings and plan sheets.

Set scale using the dropdown options

  1. From the plans tab, select a plan sheet to view

  2. Click the “Scale” button, located near the bottom of the page

  3. Select the “Standard Scales” tab and pick from the dropdown list or add your own custom scale using “Add Scale”

  4. The current scale will display next to the “Scale” button near the bottom of the page

  5. Draw a dimension line, on a known distance, to verify that the scale is correct

Calibrate the scale based on a known distance

Sometimes an architect may have stamped the wrong scale, or the page may have been resized. As long as you’ve calibrated the scale and your dimension line is correct your measurements will be spot-on.

  1. From the plans tab, select a plan sheet to view

  2. Locate the scale graphic or a marked distance on the plan sheet

  3. Click the “Scale” button, located near the bottom of the page

  4. Select the “Calibrate Scale” tab and enter the dimension shown on the scale graphic or marked distance into the input box

  5. Click “OK”, then click two points on the sheet to measure the known distance

*Once you’ve calibrated the scale, we recommend that you draw a dimension line to verify that the scale is correct
